Things at work are quite crazy

It's been announced by uppers management that the other dept in our building is now joining our ranks and just recently started the long job of re-training all 600-800 people to do my job. It's means a few different things.


Cons: 

• My shift may be getting axed completely.
• New management in town and we may not be able to do the things were used to. (IE charge our phones at our desk. 
• In the old days with the "new"current management no personal affects were allowed to be on your desk. No clue if it's still like that.

 Pros:

•  More people in my department! 
•  Eye candy! (They have been holding onto all the eye candy for themselves) 
•  Meet new people! My department is known jokingly as the dark side and we have been so separated from tho other department that it's like we are in two different states. The line of separation is so thick it's almost never crossed in the lunch room. 
• Because we will be the same group under the same leadership there will be more of a sense of unity in the office. 

 I'm still on the fence about the whole thing so we will see how this goes. They plan to have the transition completed by August.
